Band Camp Information
August 19 - August 23
Band camp is mandatory for all marching band students wishing to participate this fall. Practice will run daily from 7:45 am - 5:30 pm, except for Friday where we will end early (3:30) pm. Lunch will be provided daily by the Boosters. Students may also opt to bring their own lunch. We will not allow students to leave school property during camp to get lunch. There are mandatory events in the evenings on the nights specified below.
CLOTHING ESSENTIALS

Shorts or loose fitting pants that allow freedom of movement. The lighter the material the better. Light colored, loose fitting t-shirt/tank tops, Two shirts per day is a good idea.
At least 2 t-shirts (in case one gets wet)
2 Shorts for every day
Light-weight jacket or sweatshirt
Sneakers – 2 pair is best
They will get wet from rain and morning dew.
Have plastic bags to line sneakers.
Suggestion: Get insoles… you will be on your feet for hours
2 Pair of Sock Per Day. You may use 1-3 a day
One nice outfit for camp dance. (for evening of the dance on Thursday) - time will be provided to go home and change
Rain poncho; practice does not stop if it rains
PRACTICE ESSENTIALS
Large personal water jug (Do not share drinks!)
Light snack (i.e. granola bar, apple, banana, etc.)
Blanket to sit on field during breaks
Sunscreen (preferably SPF 30 or higher)
Aloe (just in case)
Sunglasses
Lip protection (preferably with SPF)
Bug Spray
HAT or BANDANA required!!!
Instrument/flags
Music and pencil(s)
Dot Book: 3 X 5 index cards in spiral notebook form.
String to tie around you.

Any questions; ask the Drum Major or check with your section leader. * All Marchers need Dot books - mini spiral notebook for Guard, 3 ring binder with page protectors.
