FAQs on Band Camp

Can my child stay at school before the movie night or dance?
Your child can stay at school the night of the movie, but not the night of the dance. We will have staff available to supervise after practice on movie night, but not the evening of the dance as all will go home to shower and change.

I’m a parent, and want to help anyway I can. What can I do to help at band camp?
You can volunteer to help a few different ways. (1) You can help with camp logistics by helping setup for lunch, help keep the band hydrated, move some equipment, etc. You can contact Andrea Harris if you are able to help. (2) You can also donate some much needed supplies. Click this Signup Genius link to see what you can donate.

Can my child participate in band camp if the athletic clearance is not complete?
Your student will not be able to participate in band camp or the marching season if the athletic clearance is not submitted and approved. Please check in on FamilyID or contact the health staff at the school for a status.

Both parents work, how do we to get our child to camp?
Band camp is at the school and you will need to provide transportation to the school for drop off and pickup. There are no other transportation options available. We do have some students getting rides from friends and family.

What kind of food will there be for lunch?
Lunch will be provided by the boosters at no cost to you. All students will be provided the same meal. We will respect any food allergies that have been disclosed during the registration process. The menu is still being worked on. We suggest that if your child is a “selective” eater, he or she can bring their own lunch.

Will we need to have dot books?
Yes, See band camp essential guide linked here.
