Hello MK Band Families!!

It is that time of year again...time for the Gertrude Hawk Spring Candy Sale!!

The students will be given their sales envelopes tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 14 during band class.

If your student does not have band class they can go to the band room and get a sales envelope from Mr. Schwartz.

Orders can be taken in person or can be placed online. Please see the back of the brochure for online sales instructions.

The sale will run until Friday, March 1. 

Completed orders can be given to Mr. Schwartz at anytime during the sale up to and including Friday, March 1. 

No orders will be accepted after March 1 as the orders will be sent to Gertrude Hawk on March 4. 

Please remember to keep the bottom copy of the sales form and the brochure for your records.

Delivery will be the week of April 8.

As a result of the great outcome from our recent Walkathon fundraiser we are happy to announce a reduction to the final assessment payment.  The final assessment payment has been $300 for the past few years.  With your fundraising efforts this year we are able to reduce the final assessment payment down to $250.  

In addition to the reduction above we are also honoring the additional sibling discount of $50.00 per sibling.

Final Assessment Cost:
$250 : One Band or Color Guard Member
$450 : Two Siblings Band or Color Guard Members

Payment due date is January 15, 2019

We will not have a General Booster meeting in December.

Instead we will be hosting a Recruiting Working Group Meeting on December 11th 7:30pm. This meeting is open to any Booster member that is interested in helping support the increase in enrollment in the Morris Knolls Marching Band and Color Guard.

Even if you unable to join in person, you can share with us any ideas you may have to help increase enrollment. Take a minute and fill in the survey below. We will consolidate your feedback and use it to steer our working group.

Report to: Band Room at 12:00

Band Attire: Full Uniform
Guard Attire: Performance blacks, gloves, guard jacket, Santa hat optional

7:15am - 2:30pm

Students report to the Band room at 7:15 am, Busses depart at 7:45 for Valleyview. Then the band will head to the mall for lunch. After lunch then to Copeland, then back to MKHS in time to take busses home.

Attire: Full Uniform for all

Staggered Rehearsal Report Times

5:30pm: Percussion
6:30pm: Guard
7:00pm: Winds
8:30pm: All Dismissed

Ashley Farms Cheesecakes will be delivered on Monday November 19  All orders can be picked up in the band room on Monday, 11/19 from 3 – 5:30 pm.

ALL ORDERS MUST BE PICKED UP AS THEY REQUIRE REFRIGERATION!!!
